Medical

Dr. Mohammad Alem Rahin was born in 1968 (1347 in the Solar Hijri calendar) in the city of Maimana, Faryab province. He completed his primary and secondary education in Maimana, Faryab, and after passing the Kankor (university entrance) examination, he was admitted to the Faculty of Curative Medicine at Kabul Medical University. In 1990 (1369 SH), he graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Curative Medicine at Kabul Medical University. Dr. Rahin has served as a physician at Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital in Kabul and the Provincial Hospital of Faryab. He has also worked for several years with both national and international organizations active in providing healthcare services.

History of the Faculty of Curative Medicine
The Faculty of Curative Medicine at Rahnaward University officially commenced its academic operations in 2014 (1393 SH) alongside the university’s other faculties, following the formal decree of the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan.

The Faculty of Curative Medicine at Rahnaward University is determined to train talented professionals and specialists in the medical field to effectively address the healthcare needs of our country’s citizens.

Educational System
The Faculty of Curative Medicine operates under the Credit System, fully aligned with the curriculum of Kabul Medical University.
    • Theoretical Lectures: Delivered via PowerPoint presentations utilizing modern educational technology.
    • Practical Training: Conducted in separate small groups within state-of-the-art laboratories and the Rahnaward International Hospital under the supervision of experienced professors.
    • Academic Calendar: In accordance with the Ministry of Higher Education regulations, each semester spans 16 weeks. Mid-term examinations are administered at the end of the 8th week, followed by final examinations at the conclusion of the 16th week.

Equipped with modern technology, the faculty aspires to match the caliber of prestigious medical universities worldwide for the citizens of Afghanistan.
